Sabu / Sago Dana Vada

This crispy sabudana vada is not only a fun snack but also a preferred fasting food during fasting days or Vrat. .




Ingredients 


  • Potatoes- 4
  • Sabu / Sago (big variety)-1 cup
  • Roasted peanut-1/2 cup
  • Cumin seeds-1 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Chilly powder-1/2 tsp ( optional)
  • Green chilli - 3-4, chopped
  • Chopped coriander leaves-a handful
  • Oil-to deep fry

Soak the sabu dana in water for an hour. Strain and spread in a flat surface so that the moisture goes off. Boil and mash the potatoes after removing the skin. Whiz the peanuts through the mixer to get a powder. Mix all the ingredients except the sabu dana. Combine them thoroughly.



Add the soaked sagu dana to the mixture and incorporate in a light hand.



Make small tight balls & flatten it using your palm. 



Heat oil & shallow fry them in medium heat till light golden brown on both sides and cooked. Serve with Tomato Sauce.
